President's Biography

As the Founder and Principal Consultant of C&A, Arleen Candari has a decade of experience in the industry and has practiced within FDA regulated environments in the Validation, Quality Assurance, SQA, Manufacturing, and Technical Services departments of Biotech and Pharmaceutical companies.

After receiving her bachelors degree in Psychobioloby at UCLA in 1997 (where she assisted in research of neural degeneration) she immediately accepted a position at Amgen Co. in Thousand Oaks, California as a Manufacturing Associate in the Protein Purification Department. Here, she learned Chromatography, UF/DF, TFF, CIP, Sterilization, Asceptic Processing, Final Filtration, Formulation and Filling Operations and quickly became the team's Formulation/Fill Lead and Validation's manufacturing liason. Two years later, Arleen moved to San Francisco for a position in Recovery at Genentech, Inc. and continued practicing biochemical processing through protein purification. Looking to diverse her areas of expertise, In 2000, Arleen became a Validation Consultant at KMI, a subsidiary of Parexel, International's San Mateo sattelite office, where she practiced as a consultant for dozens of companies and worked in accordance with several ex-FDA inspectors. In 2002, Arleen received "Validation Engineer of the Year" award at KMI's annual meeting in Boston, Mass.  Arleen rose to a Senior Validation Engineer II with KMI and in June, 2003 Arleen founded the C&A consulting practice and has been constantly growing her business since.

Client feedback for contract services provided by C&A consultants has been praised by many, highlighting their rapid service in turning around deliverables, completing projects on time, and providing scientifically sound, quality based work. In order to meet client's needs, C&A has joined partnership with The Dilisi Group, Inc and KAE Validation LLC to provide a full range of services including development, commissioning, validation and revalidation.

Arleen received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychobiology at UCLA. She has continued to further her education by attending industry seminars and training sessions and is an active member of ISPE, PDA, the National Association of Women Business Owners, and the Asian Business League of San Francisco.
